I have been doing more flying and less talking about flying and I'm using this entry to clean out some subscribers who have moved on from my blog.

On my flight the other day, I had to feel positive about what the NT has in the employment and development pipeline... Inpex - a 30 billion dollar investment (I struggle to understand what that means) - The military buildup. We have Tiger Helicopters and M1 Tanks at Robertson and if the press is to be believed a new joint facility with the US may just be around the corner.

I took some photographs for a magazine that I donate cover shots to and one of the shots had the East Arm Wharf, Darwin City, the existing gas plant and the new detention centre currently under construction. Talk about a mixed import export business. You will be able to see these shots in my next post.

Each day I fly, I am presented with the spectacle of the emerging city of Weddell. The dusty junction in this picture is the new heart of Weddell. What will it look like in 10 years? Traffic lights and bitumen for sure and I won't be flying at 500 ft at that location anymore.

This mass of concrete was a creek.

Progress - every time I see it there is a mixed emotion of sadness and excitement - excitement wins because the memory is not lost.

This last shot sums it up... a shot through a hole in the clouds... confirming you are doing something a little special.
