RAA Board Meeting on 17 September

It is that time of year where I head off to the Recreational Aviation Australia board meeting in Canberra. Although items for discussion are generally raised with me directly, this is just a little reminder that the meeting is on and it is the chance to be in the ear of others on the board and raise any challenges you might have in regard to paperwork.

Ron has raised a good point about the need for people to be tested on all endorsements at a BFR and some have a list that would mean they would be flying for a week to cover all of them. This has already been flagged and addressed.

Little things like when are the new brolga props for drifters going to be available for purchase (not strategic stuff but important if you have a dirfter)

Anyway drop me a line.

Steve Allen's Gravatar Test of all endorsements was not intended. I would have to fly high performance, low performance, two stroke, four stroke, nose wheel, tail wheel, cross country . . . quite absurd. They do ask that if you did your last BFR in, a high performance, that next time you try to do it in a low perormance.

Phil Rofe's Gravatar I'm afraid that when a Pilot presents for a BFR it is not just a matter of choice for the Pilot undergoing the Review as Steve seems to suggest. The Ops Manual states that the BFR must be conducted in the same type of aircraft that the Pilot undergoing the Review flew the most hours in over the past 10 flights.

It's worth referring to the Ops Manual from time to time, it's on the RAA website.
