Or pretty close to it. I have created a little program that randomly selects a random album from my twenty or so album repositories up on the Internet and presents the viewer with a slide show. To view a new album, just press F5 to refresh with a new album.
If you use internet explorer 8, I have added the ability to add the news feed as a web slice. The easiest way to add it to your tool bar is to press Alt-J and follow the prompts. The cool thing is that the web part on your tool bar will glow orange when news has been added. Of course you can subscribe to the news feed which guarantees the news will be emailed to you, but this provides an additional visual cue for when our news is updated.
Another way to add the web slice is
to click on the green icon that only appears in Internet Explorer 8 when there is a web slice on the page you are visiting. I have only added the web slice to the home page at this stage.
Of course if you don't use Internet Explorer 8 none of this will work for you.
Free High School Maths Site

This site is sponsored by McDonalds and despite the newspapers doing a beatup of the bad influence a fast food chain may be having on our little darlings as they do their maths - I commend them for it and as a parent I take responsibility for Joe's eating habits and don't try to blame a fast food company. Off the corporate soap box now - check the web site and if relevant set up a family account.
It goes from Year 7 - 12 including extension maths and I suspect parents might want to look at it to keep one step in front of the kids.
Now - off to buy that big Mac!
I realised that I hadn't really established a channel for things to do with hardware and software. Although I am not a sage on all things hardware and software, I do have some experience in some vertical segments - particularly multimedia and computer based training. I also know a bit about web development and the use of databases.
I am only creating this entry really to establish a category, but I will start with a piece of hardware that has been in my office for more than 8 years - a ricecooker. Before you ask is he a computer person or a chef - read on...
