The TV Jets Turbos U12 played another TV Jets team on Saturday in arestart to the basketball season. Joe is back attending Chinese from 9 - 11:45 and then we race to basketball. Actually we make it with time to spare as it is only one suburb away. In our first match back we wer down to 4 players - one short and two players, Joe included are actually 8 years old. They didn't win but my goodness they played hard and got points on the board.
Not being a basketballer, it is hard to comment professionally but I see that Dakota really listens to advice and after half time increased the number of shots for goal and received more passes than in the first half. Along with Joe and Jaiden, playing in a team with few (or no) interchanges is increasing their skills dramatically. Kaiden continues to be the wonderkid and really sets a standard in ball skills for the other boys to aim for.
The other team who played very well had some tall timber that was able to effectively block our throw ins from the sideline and some passing shots.
