We hadn't visited the tourist destination because, well, we live in Darwin and we aren't tourists. However this past show weekend we decided not to brave the dust and crowds of the Darwin show and instead decided to play tourist in our own city. It is a really fun thing to do. Put on a Hawaiian shirt, drape the Nikon around your neck and voila - instant tourist.
Being Territorians, if you show your license you can return as many times as you like during a year after you have paid the first time. This is great when you are bringing around the Southern Visitors.
My desk overlooks the complex, so I have seen the "cage of death" and the smaller crocodiles being fed. I could see it was well run.
Now having been inside with Helen and Joe, I can report it is a really professional setup. The staff, many of whom have accents from the Mother Country handled themselves and the reptiles they were caring for with great aplomb.

The presentations were great and covered a lot more than just Barra and corodiles. The reptile exhibit is great and the explanations and accompanying audio visual support is impressive.
There were a few highlights and it is not like I haven't seen a 5 metre crocodile along the Mary or from my ultralight along the Adelaide River, it was the professional way in which the animals were presented to people who definately have the croc experience in the NT on their to do list.

The two young ladies in the cage of death were lowered and dropped into all of the tanks containing the big crocodiles and I think because it is "winter" in Darwin and the crocodiles were a bit lethargic, the girls would have garnerd more interest from lads on Mitchell street.
It might have also been because they had just been fed (the crocodiles that is) as you will see from the photographs.

Feeding the juvenile crocodiles is great and is included in the price.

You can also get to hold a baby crocodile and all manner of snakes and lizards.

The reptile show where two snakes devoured a mouse and a rat respectively had everyone watching in amzement as the elastic walls of the snake expanded to accomodate the two rodents.
