Yesterday as we checked the yard I noticed that there was a cane toad in the pool, not a small one, a big one. I can confirm that it did not survive, but I did record it's last happy moments.

Years ago my aunt had drained her pool in Townsville as the toads just used it as a breeding ground. I hope 40 years later that the same fate does not befall swimming pool owners in Darwin.
