The pressure was on for the landing with all those visitors present along the Western side of Coomalie Creek runway. Having landed there many times before, I was happy that the landing was smooth enough and the taxi and pushback to the tie down area was very pleasant.

Helen and Joe turned up shortly after my arrival and with our newly purchased and yet untried camping gear the challenge was to erect the Taj Mahal before sundown. Between unpacking the car, reading the instructions and trying to fathome what all the string was for, the Coomalie Hilton was erected with vestibule areas, lockable lockers and a sense that we were the "best house in the street" as other smaller two man tents began to spring up around us. These smaller cousins of the Taj were home to young, old, inexperiencesd, experienced players in this camping game.

We were pleased and surprised to see that the evening was to include a musical band that had country stamped across it along with members of the St John Ambulance, the multiple engines that had turned up, the DC3 disgorging 28 passengers who had experienced a ride of a lifetime and the dusk entertainment of formation flying provided by those from MKT who could.
