Quizlet.com is a cool tool that allows you to create flashcards, quizzes and learning games for free. You can of course get the plus version which costs a little, but there are some great things to note about Quizlet. Thanks to Roxanne and her son's teacher for finding and using this tool.

  • You can embed your quizzes into a web page or just send the link.
  • They are really easy to create\
  • They accept non-English letters like Chinese and Japanese characters
  • The interface is clean
  • English phrases that you enter are read by a text to speech engine
  • The reporting on how many people have answered you quiz turns it into a mini learning management system.

This means that if you could use a blog like this to deliver content and then embed a little quiz.

I created an account at http://quizlet.com/user/LearnShifting/ which could house my qizzes or I can embed one here. Of course I can also embed these into moodle or SharePoint.
