The DUET speakerphone is a USB powered speaker and microphone combination that sells for around 420 dollars Australian and can be purchased from http://www.duetaudio.com.au/
When we upgraded to Adobe Connect 7.5 we suddenly experienced some strange audio issues with specifically the duet speakerphones. (or rather we thought we did...) These speakerphones are highly recommended (by ourselves) and perform extremely well in all video conferencing situations, but especially when you need a few people to be listening at one location.
So when the problem occurred (audio feedback, volume variation) I was a little surprised. I was even more surprised when I came across an article by the Pheonix people on the adobe connect site also extolling the virtues of the duet in relation to using it with Adobe Connect.
I recommend you read the article mainly because it describes the features of the DUET that make it stand out from other solutions.

One of the features that makes it stand out is the plug and play nature of the product. When you are having audio problems however, plug and play sometimes becomes plug and pray. Luckily there are a number of diagnostic tools available on the Pheonix website that you can download and use to enhance the capability of this product.
One useful utility allows you to set your volume of the microphone and speaker and when the pheonix is unplugged and plugged back into the computer, it remembers the last settings

As it turns out the audio issues were the result of finger trouble in the classroom rather than a problem with the Duet.
